Arlington, VA-based CACI International Inc, has acquired Germantown, WI-based IDL Solutions, Inc for an undisclosed amount, in a move to expand its business in the $33.5 billion addressable healthcare and federal health insurance market.
Established in 1962, CACI provides information solutions and services to security and law enforcement agencies, intelligence communities, defense customers, and federal civil agencies (includes healthcare) in the US and employs about 14,900 people across 120 countries. The company’s offerings for the healthcare industry include identity access management, information security and assurance solutions, analytical techniques, business process re-engineering, software engineering, medical logistics, medical facilities management, EMR integration services and telehealth support. A member of the Russell 2000 Index and Fortune 1000 Largest Companies, the company reported a revenue of $1.67 billion for the fiscal year 2012, ending in June. In a recent diversification (December 2012), two new business groups were formed: Federal Civilian and Business Systems Solutions, which will be functional from 1st of January 2013, for pursuing opportunities in the respective markets. The IDL acquisition, according to CEO and President of CACI, Dan Allen, comes under the Federal Civilian Solutions business group.
